Music to Drive By
One of the best albums of all time, from Compton's Most Wanted "Music to Drive-By". Lead emcee MC Eiht keeps his lyrics simple and very gangster, while DJ Unkonwn and DJ Slip tune every Parliment sample into a sound track to life in Compton.
After splitting from the other two members of Compton's Most Wanted, DJ Slip and MC Chill, (who as far as I can remember never rapped) MC Eiht went on to drop 12 solo albums, "ggggggya"

Shad
This dude Shad's record "The Old Prince" has been in my rotation for awhile. The album covers various topics, and features very tight production, and well thought out lyrics. Shad calls London Ontario home, a small Canadian college town, but dude speaks to a global audience with a raspy but clean delivery. Peep the video below "Watching"(My Brother) for a good example from his album, "The Old Prince".

Ice caps
With the presidential election 6 months away, there is no wonder that all other news receives little to no attention. Even if there is no election, things like Global Warming are usually soft stories, or special features on local nightly news. But the facts are real.
Since 1950 half of Canada's massive Baffin Island has disappeared as a result of Global Warming. The simple facts are that when ice caps melt, water level rises, putting the entire coast line of America at risk.

Barack Update
As Fox continues to sling enormous amounts of mud in Senator Obama's path, Barack and Michelle continue to make it happen. Fox published a graphic reading, "Outraged Liberals: Stop Picking on 'Obama's Baby Mama'" and -- notwithstanding the public backlash -- never addressed the issue, making their comment manifest propaganda and open racism. Worse yet, Fox's Liz Trotta openly expressed a desire to see someone "knock-off" the Democratic candidate for President, and in the same breath "mistakenly" referred to Obama as "Osama," laughing about it all the while. Peep this for more. Liz later apologized for what she said -- but Fox said nothing. Liz, of course, continues to contribute.
P.S The latest polls suggest Barack is ahead of McCain by 4 points.

Get Yours
The price of living is going up, as the London Telegraph reports. The World Bank now believes that some 33 countries are in danger of being destabilized by food price inflation, while Ban Ki-Moon, the UN secretary-general, said that higher food prices may wipe out progress towards reducing poverty and could harm global growth and security.
Sixteen people died recently in Haitti during violent protests over the cost of rising food prices. The Wall St Journal is suggesting that we start hoarding food before major retailers start rationing supplies.
The extent of the crop damage in the Midwest from recent floods has yet to be tallied, but Iowa alone is estimated to have suffered $2.7 Billion in property damage and lost crops. As a result, the price of corn soared to an all time high of $8 a bushel.

Cunninlynguists
Just copped the newest release from Lexington Kentucky natives CunninLyguists, "Dirty Acres", the trios fourth studio album, following the very popular "Piece of Strange". "Dirty Acres" and "Piece of..." have a lot in common, both are very thematic and follow a book like approach, where every song is a chapter in an audio novel. With a very cinematic approach to their albums "Strange" is a love story dealing with the good and evil. "Dirty Acres" picks up where "Strange" left off too explore life and love in the South and outlook of the two emcees, Natti and Deacon the Villan. Kno hooks up great beats, with a lot of live music, jazz and blues influenced beats that complinent the sometimes laid back flow, such as the title track "Dirty Acres"and "Things I Dream". Natti and Deacon pick up the pace with furious and passionate flows on "K.K.K.Y" and "Yellow Lines" w/ Phonte and Whictdoctor.

Ice T vs. Soulja boy
I know Ice T might be seem like hypocrite, from wanting to kill cops to playing one on TV. But I did grow up on his music, and Law and Order is my favourite show, so I can't hate on him to hard, also Ice T is the master of profanity. In this 60 second clip Ice manages to use the F word at least 40 times expressing how he feels about these terrible excuse for rappers, Soulja Boy and Hurricane Chris. Tell'em how you really feel Ice.

All around us
No matter what part of the planet you look, the weather is changing. Heat waves are a major threat throughout Europe and Asia, which are responsible for thousands of deaths. A few weeks into summer and the east coast is having 95 degree plus weather multiple days in a row, and it may just be a sign of things to come. This year as the power grid that supports the North Eastern United States and Southern Ontario is pushed to its capacity, we are on the brink of darkness when all its takes is one plant to go off-line for the power to go out, as witnessed in the 2003 blackout. Within two hours of the 2003 blackout New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, also former of the Dept. Of Energy, said that the United states, " is a superpower with a third-world electricity grid," which made front page head lines in Europe.

Fuel Economy
The Ferrari Testatrossa is an amazing vehicle. Testarossa means red head in Italian, for the red painted head cylinder on the formula-One inspired 12 flat engine. The berlinetta, or coupe style has'nt been in production since 1996, at the time they were ran around two hundred g's, Fiat only made 10,000 and Mike Tyson had like 4.

Nothing is Cool
Big up Barack Obama !!!!! One more step to make a major change in this country. This is the first time that I will vote in The United States of America, and I'm so proud to have my vote be cast to the first African America candidate. Well Barack is a lot like me, of mixed race, half breed, a mulatto , half, oreo, or what ever you want to call it. Call him what you want, but just listen to his speeches, hear his policy and get out to vote. Change could not be more important, with all the issues pressing this country and the world, we desperately need a new policy.
Just got back from Miami, and the block was hot. Check these random snaps.
The plane ride home flew threw a lighting storm, felt like we were in a movie.
